The project included all aspects of the design, M&E scope of supply, installation, and commissioning. It also included all civil works.

The DAF plant was designed to process screened and balanced effluent at a rate of up to 15 m3/hour. The plant was guaranteed ensure full compliance with consent conditions imposed by Wessex Water Plc. The plant provided by CAP included delivery of screened effluent into a 90 m3 aerated balance tank. The balanced effluent was the processed through a DAF clarification system with automatic chemical dosing facilities.

New storage vessels were provided for both DAF sludge and waste food solids collected from the factory. Clarified effluent was then returned to the existing sewer outfall.

The completed plant was completed on schedule, on budget, fully meeting the agreed performance targets with no incidents of ETP failure during the construction period.
